Michael Wasikowski is a Sterling Heights resident and a wanted felon who decided to drive through and wreck part of the Machpelah Jewish Cemetery while attempting to escape from police.

Police attempted to pull him over on Sunday. When they ran his license plate they found out that he was a wanted felon. He was wanted on fleeing and eluding charges in Roseville from a previous incident. At first it looked like Mr. Wasikowski was going to cooperate with police. He pulled into the entrance of a cemetery and he put his hands out the window as the officers approached the vehicle. Suddenly he decided to resist arrest and take off and begin speeding through the cemetery. He drove over headstones and plots throughout the cemetery. Eventually he ditched the car and started to run. The cemetery is fenced on all sides so it did not take the police officers long to catch him.

Over 100 people were in the cemetery that day, but thankfully no one was injured. Cemetery workers will be continuing to clean up the mess for quite awhile. There was over $500 in damages done to the flower beds and grounds of the cemetery and many headstones were damaged and need to be repaired or replaced.

Mr. Wasikowski is being charged with second-degree fleeing and eluding, resisting and obstruction police, along with malicious destruction of property.

Each of these charges carries possibility of jail time or prison time and lots of fines. Second degree fleeing and eluding as well as resisting and obstruction are felonies in the state of Michigan. Malicious destruction of property can be classified as either a felony or a misdemeanor depending on other facts in the case. Michigan Car accident attorney is reporting that a six year old boy from Detroit is in critical condition after being hit by a car early Wednesday morning. The driver never stopped after hitting the boy. The accident occurred near East Warren Avenue and St. Clair Streets on Detroit’s east side. The driver that hit the boy took off after hitting him. Deshawn White was just trying to get to his bus stop when a woman driving a grey or silver, compact vehicle hit him while he was crossing the street. The victim’s brother is reported as saying that the driver never slowed down or even blew her horn.

After being hit by the vehicle, Deshawn’s little body flew in the air and landed on the ground. He was rushed to Children’s Hospital, where he was taken for emergency surgery to save his life. Tonight he is listed in critical condition and the doctors are worried whether or not he will survive.

It is believed that she knew she hit the boy. When she fled the scene she took off heading westbound in the eastbound lanes of East Warren at a high rate of speed. She then turned to go southbound on Bewick Street.

Police are looking for a woman that was driving a grey or silver compact style vehicle with two doors. It is believed to be a newer model year. Woman Driving After Being Shot Causes North Bound I75 to Close

A Michigan criminal attorney is reporting the shooting of a woman on I75 at Livernoise Avenue in Detroit. This occurred shortly before 5:00pm on 10/8/2013. The northbound lanes of I75 at Livernois are currently closed due to the accident.

A woman driving in a silver minivan was swerving on the road and hitting the median wall. She eventually came to a stop facing the wrong way on I75 against the wall. When police arrived they realized that she has been shot.

Michigan criminal attorney is reporting a shooting death in the city of Detroit.

Cleveland Dunklin IV was killed Monday night on Braile Street after he yelled at a car speeding down the road. A car drove by at a high rate of speed. Mr. Dunklin was standing outside his home when he yelled at the speeding driver because there were kids outside playing in the area.

The car reportedly drove away but the person came back in a different car. When the person came back they shot Mr. Dunklin as he stood on the side of the road. It is not mentioned whether Mr. Dunklin died instantly or later on at the hospital.

Mr. Dunklin was 23 years old. He was known as “a happy homebody who looked out for his friends and family,” according to his family.

Many people tend to speed down this street and it appears to be a problem.

Police have said that there is more to this case than the obvious facts and they are continuing to look into the case. Neighbors report that this is not the first shooting like this within the last week. The news report mentions possible gang affiliation with the shooter. It is possible that this is what the police are referring to. This case may be bigger than retaliation or revenge for being yelled at.
